Conference Notes

Registration
It is recommended that you pre-register for the Conference on this web site during the pre-registration period. After pre-registration ends (about a week before the conference) the on-site registration will be available starting on the Friday of the Conference weekend. Registration fees will be higher for on-site registration. The registration fee includes all handout materials, and break snacks. Meal and Social Activity tickets may also be purchased during the registration process. Hotel rooms are not included in the registration and will need to be reserved by directly contacting the hotels.

Accommodations
Accommodations are the responsibility of the member. A number of Jekyll Island hotels are holding rooms for the Conference at discounted rates.  See Accommodations Page.

Social Activities
Tickets are available in advance for a Jekyll Island Golf Outing and a Dolphin Boat Tour. Please see the Activities page for details. There are many other unorganized activities available on Jekyll Island and in the Brunswick/ St. Simons area.

Conference Check- In
When you arrive at the Jekyll Conference you need to stop at the Conference Registration desk and pick up your registration packet. The packet will contain your badge(s), purchased meal tickets, purchased social event tickets and a Conference agenda. There will also likely be some brochures and a variety of other helpful material enclosed. The Conference Registration desk will be open on Friday from xx am until xx pm. On Saturday they will open at xx am.

Additional Meal or Social Activity Tickets
Additional tickets will be available at the Conference Registration desk. A check or cash is preferred but credit cards will be accepted.


Dress

> Business casual for plenary sessions, Friday lunch, and Sunday brunch. 
> Friday evening has been declared "Flip Flop Friday" by our Conference Chairperson Marie Dodd.  No bathing suits or swim fins.
>
Coat & Tie for Saturday evening.

Friday Lunch
On Friday, April 23, 2010, the local area Rotary Clubs will be invited to attend a joint luncheon at the Convention Center on Jekyll Island in place of their normal weekly meeting. The local clubs expected to attend are:   
St. Simons Island, Marshes of Glynn, Brunswick, Glynn County,  and Jekyll Island.

Special Note Regarding Friday’s Local Club Lunch
If you are a local club member and plan to attend the Friday luncheon do not sign up for it when you register. Your local club will be responsible for your lunch, just check in at the special table marked Local Club Luncheon and obtain your meal ticket.
